As much as I would like to provide as many people with as much information as possible, it is very difficult to provide you with specific suggestions and ideas, especially when I am not able to personally look at and work with your baby. I can only offer advice based on what you have told me or shown me in photographs, which is extremely difficult to do.
Should you be concerned about your baby, his development or your handling of your child, please contact an Occupational Therapist in your area to guide you and help you. Please look into and research things, from a trustworthy source, if you are concerned. Never compare your child to another, but if you suspect something is not right, it is your responsibility to get this checked out. Your pediatrician or nurse could provide a guideline as well, and should be able to let you know whether or not your child requires OT. OT is mostly provided for children with special needs or delayed development, not to assist parents and caregivers to merely facilitate the normal development of their child. This blog should help you to do so, and in doing this, he/she is not "receiving OT", but if you notice a continued delay in your child, an assessment should be carried out to identify if there are any underlying problems or concerns.
Please feel free to email me with should you require some advice on the development of your baby. I will try my best to provide you with as much information as possible.
DISCLAIMER:
Please note that my suggestions are exactly that - suggestions. Carrying these out is done so at your own risk, and I cannot be held accountable for any unforseen circumstances that arise when using suggested equipment or handling techniques
